This blog post is one in which I am honored and humbled to share. A couple of weekends ago, I was able to meet up with the Witmer Family for a very loving, yet busy indoor session. It was rainy outside, so we decided to take use of an indoor place. The Witmer family gave birth to a pair of twins just 20 short months ago and have yet another one on the way! If these parents are anything like me, they probably feel like the time has just flown by as their children have grown up. One baby goes by the name of Cohen and the other named Kate. Cohen is a thriving blonde haired little boy who reminds me somewhat of a little energizer battery bunny – - – he just kept going and going and… going.
Full of energy and curiosity. The other baby, Kate is a darling little girl who has the lightest blue and amber colored eyes, who when she was close to her family whispering in her ear, showed the slightest hint of a smile.
Now, there is something very special about these twins. Cohen on one hand acts and behaves as a typical 20 month old little boy would behave at this stage in life, but Kate on the other hand has been dealt a little bit of a different card in life. Though Cohen had undergone some sickness in the beginning stages of his life, he came out of it all safely in the long run with no obvious permanent damage. Kate began her life normally in the first few weeks of her life but then around 3 weeks old and after a very scary Saturday morning, she was diagnosed with late onset GBS meningitis. This included everything from antibiotics and nasal canulas to breathing ventilators and anti-seizure medications {and a WHOLE lot more actually}.
There are so many more details about Kate’s story – I could go on and on about this precious family but for now, I will share the photos from their session. Please understand that this family {as with any family who has children who are disabled or sick} has to regularly undergo very costly treatments, just so Kate can survive and there are huge amounts of medical bills to pay. If you or your family are interested in helping to contribute to Kate’s treatments, PLEASE GO VISIT HER WEBSITE AT….

And last but not least, I would like to encourage you all out there to pray for Kate as if you were praying for your own child. God still heals today and I know that He will give this family peace that passes ALL understanding.
Thank you Witmer family for choosing me to play a small part in your journey as a family together… you have been given the wonderful gift of life!
This is Cohen…
And this is Kate.
Check out what Amy did to get those awesome shots…
It was so sweet how Kate would just lay back on her Grandmother’s lap and relax. Very sweet moment.
